Why I quit talking to people about it

Asperger's is the new fad diagnosis.

He doesn't have Asperger's -- he is one of the funniest people I know.

You don't understand -- Asperger's is serious, I mean they're fucked up about sex, my cousin has it and he is really inappropriate.

Anyone can read something in the DSM and think they have it. You can convince yourself the criteria fits for almost anything.

I don't need to be validated or convince anyone other than folk who matter in/to the situation(although I wouldn't hate a little understanding either). The sad thing is, it's thinking such as the kind involved in these snap to judgement type of responses that can close off opportunity to those who could really benefit from proper diagnosis -- namely, our family.

I want to be a storm chaser

This was on our way home from dinner tonight. I took around two hundred photos and I can't find one I would delete and I wish I would have taken more but I had to take it in with my real eyes too.

live blogging

Winnie is throwing every hook she knows at me right now.

Instead of deep breathing, I decided to blog the action. I am a horrible, no good, very bad mom...

Never mind on the live blog, she got right up on me and I had to close the window. But I'll still tell you why Winnie thinks I'm so horrid -- it's because I won't let her wear an ace bandage on her "injured" ankle which "HURTS REALLY BAD, AND YOU DON'T EVEN CARE! YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT LIZZIE!..."

If Lizzie had a friend named Macy who had an injured elbow and was getting lots of attention for her cast, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about Lizzie's ankle either. Especially if Lizzie jumped over the dog gate and landed on her extremely painful injury without so much as a flinch. And really, truly, no way would I fall for her ploy to only brush her teeth if I let her wear the ankle thing, not today, and not even if she promised to leave me alone if I let her wear it on Friday.

Hello Friends

Some of you probably think I'm busy with that puppy, but I bet the mom's know that it's the end of the year school crap that is sucking away every spare second I own.

Nickel here, dime there, here a field trip, there a concert, everywhere a volunteer -- e-i-e-i-0.

Today I get to do fun yard stuff, so I'm not crying -- just missing my blogger pals. Hope you all are having nice weather and enjoying yourselves.
