Last minute shopping
Today Lizzie reminded me that we had not yet seen Santa. Like last year, we trekked to the mall on Christmas Eve to see the jolly old elf in order to get the Christmas wishes in the official wishing ear.
While at the mall we picked up our copy of I So Don't Do Mysteries. I think Winnie will finish this one in no time. First she made me promise not to start reading without her, then she weaseled it from me and has begun reading without me!
I know reading is a solitary thing, but not always in our house -- we still read out loud before bed and I thought that was when we would be reading this book.
Barrie, I'm happy to report that when I asked her if it was good so far, Winnie gave a very enthusiastic, "uh huh!"

I'll be e-mailing you soon. Tonight was my first night back home! I'm off duty! For a few days,maybe a week? Middle sis and husband have come down to give me a break from being a 24 hour nurse.

Winnie's loving it. Probably the only reason she hasn't finished is that her teacher gave her homework for vacation and she needs to read a different book for class.

Probably won't be too timely. Between homework, sports, and the social life of a fourth grader, not sure when she plans on blogging. When she does, you are in for a treat, so stay tuned for that one.
