First loose tooth

Lizzie has her first loose tooth. It's another one of the last firsts for my kids.

I'm only briefly caught up in the bitter part of the sweet -- there's not a lot of time for reflection because Lizzie gives me updates on the status of her tooth about once a minute.

She's so excited. This is her first real loose tooth. She tells everyone it's her 8th loose tooth because she has wanted to loose a tooth so badly that she has been convincing herself of loose teeth for months now.

That's adorable. Your daughter sounds very brave. I was terrified when my parents told me my teeth were going to start falling out - I couldn't understand how this could possibly be good news, no matter what the tooth fairy left under my pillow :)

She's 16 months behind her sister, so she's got a paved way.

The older sister swallowed her first tooth b/c she wouldn't let anyone near it not matter how loose it got (I don't even think she allowed her tounge a push).

She hasn't taken any chances since then and gets them out when they are super loose, but still -- much more patient than little sis.

Hey Kim, thanks for stopping by my blog.

Your daughter is tough and ruthless. Soon she will be rough and toothless.

Peace out.

Ok, I have her schedueled for a lose tooth on monday, not today. I'm gonna need you to keep that in her head for a few more days until I can get out there.
I'm sorry to do this but I really need brake work done on my El Dorado and I've been putting it off.. you know how it is.
Just tell her not to pull it until monday orrrr.. I dunno, demons will eat her or something. Use your own judgement.

Wow! Tooth fairy was here.
What do you need a car for -- don't you have wings?

Yeah, we got wings but they're tiny. They have no real lift, it's just for show I guess. Now back in the day we had wingspans of ten, twelve feet. You could really get some air. But then the inquisition comes along and things got ugly. Trust me, you don't want to be a winged creature slipping into a kids bedroom when they're burning grandma at the stake for having a wart.

Tooth fairy, you are really messing me up here -- there's more than one of you?!

There's a total of five of us. We rotate shifts. The old timers take over for Mr. Sandman when they can't deliver the teeth anymore.
