Dear Blog

It seems like forever since I've posted on you. I see that it has only been twelve days. They are long days without you blog.

It's not that I don't love you, I do -- and I wish I had the time to tell you all about how I feel about movies I've seen and what I think about certain movie trailers. Oh blog yes, I know you would understand and enjoy just how much there is to say about movie trailers -- like the one for the Adam Sandler movie coming out in Spring -- holy Bob Dylan look a like, Batman. And, holy dramatic chops? Even though they showed the whole movie in that one trailer, I still want to see it.

Or what about that Hills Have Eyes 2 trailer? I don't want to see the movie, my dear blog, even so -- it was everything a movie trailer should be. If I were into creepy I would have to go see that movie even though I saw nothing but some ropes, slow walking and slow dragging of things while a weird folky song played -- shudder.

They should stick to that teaser and not ruin it with the long one that will remind me that it's just a stupid and unnecessarily horrible movie.

And blog, when will I ever find time to tell you about Gurty and why her legs were shaved? Or wonder aloud if I'm turning into a doggy blogger and if it's a category worse than "mommy blogger" -- and if I'm both, what does it mean? I bet it gets me blacklisted from my space.

Oh that there were more hours in the day, blog, I would share my hopes, my dreams, my artistic aims. But alas, time management is not one of my gifts and it is for this reason that you suffer neglect.

I love you blog and I hope to type more soon, but if I don't, please know it's not you -- it's me.

Oh do I hear you. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with posting and reading posts. I love doing it, just not enough time in the day. Sigh.

You're so right...when I'm stuck for material or short on time (like recently) I totally fall into the doggie blogger catagory. UGH. Thanks for the nudge to do better!

tooth fairy -- so good to see you here.

Adam Sandler seems to have that effect on some people -- not me though, he makes me laugh and laugh.

I liked his phsyco side in Punch Drunk
Love too.

It's good to be back. Hope the kids are well.

I have a few more cents so here's more reasons on why I hate adam sandler:

1.His voice
In almost every movie he has to adopt some kind of simpering cartoon voice that varies between "cutesy" to moron to, and this leads me to my next point..

2...Screaming and punching.
I don't know how often he had his ass kicked when he was younger but it must have been plenty. Another unfortunate device in his shallow bag of tricks is to have his "charactor" turn from a simpleton (I guess that passes for "charming" in sandlerville) to vicious bully when confronted by something he doesn't understand. His wacky voice that would make a morning zoo crew shock jock cringe changes to a scream followed by an attack and beating.

Like I said, I don't know how often he was beaten as a kid, but judging by his personality I'd say it was a lot.

3.Smarminess as "cool"
Oh sure, his roles are as varied as they can be when trapped in the talentless hack that is adam sandler. But the one thing they all have in common is the desperate need to look like he's *wink wink* above it all and this silly buisness is really beneath him. I guess parody songs and opera man will do that to a person but fer christ's sakes if you're going to claim to be a comedian then be the butt of a friggin joke once in awhile. Ever laugh at Rodney Dangerfield? Know why? Because he was the biggest punch line. Ever think mr. sandler will let himself be the punchline? Hell no. That little kid inside him that still smarts from the ass whipping years back will never let him do it.

In short, adam sandler is a mid level semi talent who's better off penning dick jokes for comedians far more talented than he is.

Ok..now that I've got that off my chest, I must be off. The tooth alarm is going off it's gums.

Remember to floss!!

"...trapped in the talentless hack that is adam sandler..."

You put them words together nice -- that's a 10 scale zing.

I'm not a fan of the sreaming, punching stuff, but I love Opera Man. I like that Chanukah song too.

I'm pretty easy -- there's a certain brand of sophmore humor that I enjoy.

I am glad I was able to provide an outlet for you - I know how that feels to be so annoyed by an actor. I used to have a real problem with Ed Begley Jr.
Even when I would see him on talk a show and agree with things he would
say, I was bothered by something about him, bothered a lot -- very bothered.
Not so much anymore, but I used to grapple with why -- why he was on my tv?

Back to Adam Sandler -- I've found that 7 out of 10 people who have a passionate dislike of him, share similiar feelings toward Ben Stiller. Often, a rant about one will blend right into a rant including the other.

How do you feel about Mr. Stiller?

Count me in as one of the seven.

I think ben and adam were seperated at birth, only ben has slightly better hair.

That said on the annoyance scale adam eeks out just ahead only because I like Jerry stiller, ben's dad.
