Mark Borchardt quote

...You’re standing around a broken car, and everyone is saying, "Man, you’re never gonna get this piece of shit working." But when you do get it running, everyone wants a ride.

Someone tried to burst my bubble today -- instead of letting it get me down, I'm reminding myself of this quote and how true it is.

So true.

don't you hate it when someone does that to you. why is it that people can't support you. it's not like they are going to fail if something doesn't work out. i think some people just don't like to see others succeed at anything!

just do it!

Exactly. Especially the "you can't do that" people -- who then, do they think will?

Like product is made by fairies and elves, not real people.

My current peeve? A friend who keeps worrying out loud that I'm going to embarrass myself.

Did you kick their ass after they tried to pop your bubble?

I don't carry brass knuckles in my purse for nothing.

I usually don't give bursters any space in my head, but inner circle bubble bursters -- that plain hurts my feelings and I hate that.

Yeah, the inner circle bubble-bursters are the worst. I've been trying to forgive one of them for awhile now, but forgiveness is a big challenge for me. I'll show him, though... when I'm published and all. Ha.
