"This is as bad as anything I've ever seen." -- tech guy at Milwaukee PC

Words like, "fried" "shorted out" and "melted" in reference to the inside workings of my PC. The vital informational phrase of the day?

"Packed with dust."

He is going to try some techie voodoo and see if he can retrieve the pictures, however, he was not delivering any false hope about it.

Do you know how many days of fruitless good intentions were involved in not getting those pictres backed up? I even had calendar days marked for the occasions (because more than one day of disk burning here -- in a mom's world where you have to feed people and such). I had a lot of it done, but the final bit...

Rich thought he had done it on the external hard drive, but he missed a big chunk and those are the pictures I've been meaning to get to for, oh, I don't know, an embarrassing, inexcusable -- too bad, so sad you lost your pictures dumbass -- amount of time.

It's not like there was an ACTUAL bunny in there. Mine is probably clogged with pet hair and crud. Oh and I spilt candle wax down the side of Honey's once..Yep still there. Ooopsie. It just seemed like a good place for a candle to go at the time.

the candle wax is probably blocking the dust from getting in.

candy -- on the floor. The computer was around when I had my giant dog -- she stirred up dust and hair all the time. I wonder if the tech meant "packed with dog hair".

swishy -- you seriously do.

I'm in your tag, I'm in your tag!!!!! That means I'm cool, even if you ARE mocking me...

I've been better about backing things up, HONEST. Not as good as I should be, but better. And how did you know that my house is dusty therefore giving my computer the chance to be packed with dust too?????

i opened mine once and a Zeke-tumbleweed fell out.

i once lost all my music that was on my computer. and then, it was 'recovered' by a tech guy. so i started playing it, and all the songs had about the first 2 minutes intact, but the rest was missing. almost worse than just losing music altogether.

hopefully he can recover the photos for you...

Cecily -- I tease because you post about having cleaning guilt -- I couldn't resist :o).

I think my friends would argue on me dishing out any kind of cool factor, lol. If by "cool" you mean dorkified -- then yeah, we're cool!

Mel -- the techie got the pics for me! Hope it's not only the bottom half of them!!!

It could be interesting --just the bottom half. You could start your own Flickr group..

You and Swishy are already shoe in's (haha) because your profile pics are feet. The Stork, I mean Dork must have made a visit to my house too.

I just made myself groan with embarassement.
