"Wow, that's really pink. Whatever you paint with that is going to be really pink." -- home depot customer

Pinker than pepto!

This is the point at which you can see fear on a clients face -- oh, what have I done?

aww, thanks mel. The client is daughter winnie, so I'm okay -- it can't be pink enough for her. But when people pay me, very often they freak out -- too bright, too dark, too green or yellow.

I just tell them to look away.

The oops paint is full of great colors and I swear half of them are there because people started rolling and freaked out -- you have to complete at least one wall.

There are certain khaki's that look like baby poop until you get the wall done and then, "who knew baby poop could be so elegant?"

or deep berry and red colors -- they go neon magenta -- you have to use a tinted primer if you don't want to do five coats of paint to get your color (I learned that the hard way -- thank goodness it was for a friend).

I got on a roll there -- I could talk paint all day...
this kim, painting 101 -- signing off.

My study is dark cranberry and dark green baby poop. We like it, it was a big difference (shock at first) after the shiny white walls honey painted it before i came along.

Isn't she pretty in pink?? That song won't stop after seeing the walls, I love it and the ceiling.

I love a ceiling w/color too! We have funky low ceilings in most of our house, so it limits what I can do. I'm doing an all over color in her room in the hopes that it will optically illude some height.
