Spring in swing
I don't know if you remember the whisper leaf from last year, but Lizzie is at it again -- she's wrapping and tying leaves.
These are tiny little purple flowers that grow wild here and there in our lawn. She made this bouquet in anticipation of a visit from my friend Tawny. So delicate and pretty.
She is doing braids on her doll's hair now too -- way better braids than I do -- they're perfect and I don't think it's just because she has little hands -- she's got the gift.
Labels: my sister has the braiding gift -- she could do her own perfect french braids

I need her skills..I let my hair grow out. But I can never braid it right. I can do a french twist with bobby pins..but it doesn't really go with my kicking around town clothes..
How's the land of Mom?
I need her to come teach me some stuff...I DREAD the day that Gracie figures out that I should be able to do more than just put a barrette in her hair...
hopefully Gracie will be good at it herself and then you will off the hook.
If I can get Lizzie to do Winnie's hair...
My best hope is when the hair is wet, but even then -- loose, uneven -- I'm not sure why they even ask me.
I love the sweet little bouquet! So pretty & precious!
I love to braid hair! When we were at girls camp when we were young I would spell words out or initials in the girls hair in their french braids! Wow, to have nothing to do but braid hair!
That's cool. My front yard was overgrown with violets a few weeks ago (a pleasant problem to be sure. much better than the current overgrowth of dandelions).
I remember. You've got another artist on your hands.
