I hope they recorded it for training purposes

I just went off on the poor lady who works in the billing department for our energy company.

Because they tacked a deposit on our bill, that's why. A deposit that will earn interest and be refunded after 12 months of on-time payments. It's not a small deposit (well over a thousand dollars) and they will shut our electric off if we don't pay it.

So the mob is running the utilities now and the poor get poorer. Oh, but we are not poor, or they wouldn't be able to tack on the deposit! We are the -- shit out of luck-- middle class who own a seasonal business and pay hundreds of dollars in late fees that the world has gone mad with -- all because we aren't big enough yet to gracefully cash flow our winter season. Which we manage, just not on time -- and let me tell you -- you only have to be late one day to earn yourself a $25 late fee on just about any bill you owe.

How's the greed working out for the country so far?

Every once in a while there is a Falling Down moment. Last one was a couple of years ago on some unhelpful person at t-mobil. At least I didn't swear this time -- I kind of told the t-mobil person that t-mobil could suck my dick -- which upon reflection, I was strangely proud and ashamed of all at the same time, but I decided it best if I didn't do it again. Besides, the electric company lady was genuine -- that other person was a tad on the sadistic side. They should really keep those sadistic people out of costumer service positions because sometimes all I need is for you to open that door...

You got that blow too? And I think they have had it MORE than 12 months...it just glares at me everytime I pay a bill on time online. BIG FAT DEPOSIT YOU WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN! Muhahahahaha..

It's like if you seem like you could go under at ANY point they tack it on. Just to say hey, we know ALL about you. F!@#kers. I blame the postman even though I pay online, I just want to be able to pass the buck ya know? Who cares if it makes sense.

Honey told me this week that ever since I moved in nothing has ever been shut off, which is why he just hands over his paycheck every two weeks. I by default got nominated to take care of "money things". AGGGGHHHHHHHH

it would make sense if i never paid my bill, but look at five year history -- we go down and don't pay enough in the winter, catch up in the summer -- it's not like we are stiffing the power company.

i know everybody has got to get paid. I run a business, I know what it's like when customers withhold on you, but could you imagine if I billed them and tacked on a couple grand because they were late on their payments? I'd go out of business. And how many people are they locking up funds for a guaranteed 12 months? I'm sure they are raking in more from my funds than they will pay me in interest.

I'm hot -- livid -- call micheal moore, I'm ready for my close up!

Done! I have Michael Moore on speed dial.

Does your poer company have budget billing? It's where they make all the payments even so in the summer time here we don't get huge bills, we end up paying more in the winter than we did but less than the summer w/o budget billing.

what a mess. my experience with the power company? when i moved in here, 3 weeks prior, i filled out their online form telling them when to turn off my old power, when to turn on my new. so when i moved in, power was on, i was like, sweet. it worked. so, a month or two later, my power goes off. i figure it's an outage and go to the store or whatever til it comes back on. but it doesn't come back on. so i call. and they say they turned off my power at the request of the previous owner, bc it was still in his name. they never turned mine on. back and forth we go and they say they can have it back on in about 4 hours. which sucks bc i work from home on computers, etc.

they finally turn it on and i call to complain and see if at minimum i can get my transfer fee back (like $40) bc they never turned it on correctly, i lost 4 hours of work time, etc. They said they couldn't give me a credit bc i didnt use any power during the time the power was off. seriously. that's what they said. i wrote a letter to the city and they said the same thing.

what a bunch of ass clowns we have working at America's power companies. it's a joke.

I know this isn't funny, in fact it's freaking horrible the way these utilities hold you to ransom because they can, but... "t-mobil could suck my dick..."

Bwahhahahahahahah....

Sorry.
